1.3.11 This Is Me - Self Portrait

It’s been some time since I have  taken the time to get a picture of myself.  I am always the one that is left out of the photos due to the fact that I’m always behind the camera.
Today I decided that I would try my hand at a self portrait, gosh is that hard.  I find that I would really rather still be behind the lens shooting than in front trying to strike a pleasing pose.
Crazy huh when you think of all the photos that are cluttering up your hard drives.  How many of those photos are of other people, places or things and not you.  Sad really.
New years resolution – get more ME photos on the hard drive for future posterity to enjoy.

I don't think you would be that stern Barb, but I can see your intensity here. Very revealing, mostly on choice. Oh and yes Very Pretty (To feed the inner gitl)

This is a fantastic Self Portrait Barb!

I so know the feeling being behind the camera. But, then.. I think I prefer it that way for me. :)

Great photo and a great resolution! I'm trying to get in front of the camera more myself this year too

Very nice self portrait, I am with you always behind the camera and walking 3 blocks behind everyone else:
snap snap zoom.

This is a wonderful portrait Barb, sure to inspire others to put themselves in the picture too.

I think most of us prefer to be behind the camera, but it makes it a lot of fun to capture oneself.

yep, you are definitely braver than I am. I hate self photos. I know that I don't want to be in them. I keep thinking if I just lost a little more weight, or had a cute haircut, or looked nicer...... Oh well, I think I will just stay behind the lens.

You made a great selfportrait there! I'm almost always behind the camera myself and that is where i prefer to be. However I agree with your thoughts about enclosing some photos of oneself in the gallery :-)
