Fun and Games This Time of the Year

Seasons Greeting!
That was the first thing that I saw.
Second was your card has been CHARGED $. . . .!
RED FLAGS!!!
I have never heard neither dealt with this company.
Next thing I am having my bank calling and stating that I need to close my debt card account immediately as it has been hacked.
Got to love my banks fast action in catching fraud.
OH the JOYS of the Holiday Season.  Brings out the GOOD and BAD in people
I really dislike having to redo my card and all the transactions that are linked to it.  Dislike the fact that someone or thing has put a hold on my life for now.  It's going to take some serious back tracking to find all the accounts that are direct withdrawal.
Going to have to drag out old bank statements, check numbers and do a lot of photo calls.
Anyone else out there have this problem?
Have you had you bank call you up in the wee hours of the morning informing you that you need to get a new card ASAP?
OH life is going to be very interesting around here for the next week or two as I locate, contact and setup my new bank numbers.
HO, HO, HO!

Good news in the end, any idea where the hacker got in - The bank should tell you, then let everyone know.

The bank tracked it down to some over seas account, that is what RED FLAGGED the transaction. They gave me the phone number but it reminds be of the commercial that you see on TV when the person calls up the help line and they get some dude by the name of Peggy. Not worth the hassle, oh interesting part is it is Google related.

Good to see the bank is right onto it, same thing happened to Sally and it was initiated in the USA, Pain in the butt, but the bank was onto it. BTW I visit your blog every post, you make but only comment when my interest is picqued. LOL this was one Ha Ha.

Sorry Barb. What a crappy thing to have to deal with.

Not any fun dealing with the aftermath of being taken to the cleaners on a charge card. My little experience was a $4.95 charge for an e-book. What! I never bought an e-book! They were just trying out the account to see if that would slip past someone not watching the account. I found no online leads to the company, but some links to others irked by this, and I had some ammunition to give to the credit company. You also have to watch the little things that don't jump out immediately. Be vigilant!!!

What a royal pain, especially at this of time of year. I'd be interested if you find out more about the connection with Google. Makes you leery of blogger and such.

I am so sorry! I hate that people have to be so dishonest. I know that many people are having hard times, but it sure doesn't help the rest of us when they do stuff like this. I hope it gets worked out really fast!!
