Monday Photo Challenge

Macro Monday -
It's been a while since I took out my macro lens and played with it.  After seeing all the fog this morning I new that today was the day for macro play.

Here is the Before I added Kim Klassens Textures
1.  Cropped
2.  Corrected exposure and white balance
3.  Sharpened for the web

Same photo as the first but with one of Kim Klassen's textures applied.
If you look really had at the water droplet you will see a up-side-down reflection of my home. It almost appears as tho I were using a fish eye lens, which I wasn't
The above photos are added to Macro Monday's Photo Challenge.

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge - Silhouette
Coming up with a silhouette photo for this challenge was pretty easy.  But the photo had to have a face in it, not so easy.  I wonder if statues count?

  • Color adjustment layer - color fill - 665566 - 100%
  • Color adjustment layer - color fill - 665566 - 25%

  • Kim Klassen texture - Cool Grunge - soft light - 63%
  • Kim Klassen Texture - Corrugated - overlay - 67%
  • Signature layer
  • Sharpen  - High Pass - 67%
  • Duplicate

I love your take on silhouettes. I don't see why a statue wouldn't count. :)

Very cool! Textures make everything better! I must ask what is the water dripping from? It looks like chicken feet!

I love them all. I can't believe the clarity in the drop of water, and I love the silhouette of the Temple. It is beautiful.

I'm impressed with the shot itself...the texture is bonus!

I do not understand why the reflection gets turned on it's head!

These are great shots on their own, but the processing makes them WOW!

Water drop is off a branch, notice the leaf bud?

Hey - just coming back to say that I didn't think you were a copy cat at all. I'm taking Kim's class because I wanted to be sure that I knew my stuff - just confirmation more than anything. I could say the same of you! I think I'm going to practice some more of her lessons now. It is fun!

That water droplet reflection is amazing. So many posts mentioning textures. I need to start reading up and practicing.
