Arc

Arc (geometry), a segment of a differentiable curve
I recall as a younger person walking over this train bridge, what was I thinking. Below it is the Snake River, fast, deep and unyeilding. The flooring looks solid but don't be fooled, the boards are acutally about 2 feet apart, just enough room to fall through. I have seen in my travels many families that love to stand in the middle of the bridge to have ther picture taken. WHY? This is just so not for me as I have hights.

I have never understood that either, must be for the thrill (at least until a train comes)....beautiful arc, love the clean lines and how the tracks lead the eyes to the arc!

I love heights, but the possibility of falling between the boards would freak me. I had to look back--the color is so subtle, I almost thought it was B&W. the now on the boards adds an interesting contrast.

I like the arrow that seems to be pointing at you from the middle of the tracks! The bridge does look deceptively non-threatening from this viewpoint. Great capture.

An arc well seen!

I like how you composed your shot and with the color being very subtle it plays up the lines of the bridge.

Nice image of an arc. I also thought it was a B&W when I first looked at it. Nice shot.

Lovely bridge. I love how it is all square corners and then those lovely arcs.
