1.2.11 Black and White

Cedar posts and split rails loaded with snow. One can only enjoy places like this if they are willing to get off the beaten track.
And finally Winter, with its bitin', whinin' wind, and all the land will be mantled with snow.

Great leading lines into this wintery wonderland! Just beautiful, Barb!

Winter photographs are so pretty. I like the tones in this one and the path and fence posts lead you into the picture.

What a beautiful shot Barb. BTW, I'm using your suggestions for the Scavenger Hunt this week.

This works well in B&W. Old fences make an interesting shot better.
I'm enjoying all the winter photos now that I live in California! It is hard to believe, but within six weeks we will have almond blossoms in our orchards!

The black and white works really well with this winter photo. Nice composition.

Nice Barb, love the fence and snow, very cool. Very cold I mean.

Love the composition here and how the fence sort of frames the image...very pretty!

One of my favorite scenes--snow on an old fence. This looks like the winter we are having. Love your point of view/composition/processing on this one.

Oh wow, absolutely beautiful! I am drooling over everyone's snowy pictures, and yours is such a gorgeous one. I'm in the Midwest, and I can't believe we haven't got any snow yet! A couple dustings, but nothing that has accumulated. I actually took a little drive today to scout out locations (like yours) to be ready when it decides to snow - LOL!
Beautiful shot! :-)

I like the grainy texture: it makes it grity, like a day of sleety snow.
