Thin Perspectives

I notice my Christmas Cactus this morning.  Actually it needed a drink.  I had two blooms on it, totally out of season.  I grabbed my macro to get some practice in.  It looks like a  whole new plant species, nothing that I had expected.

It looks like an alien, wonderful point of view and fabulous focous on the (plant)sexy bits.

Maybe it thinks it is an Easter cactus....closely related anyway. I have one that normally blooms at Thanksgiving. It turned out to be another relative of the Christmas cactus. But last year it bloomed at the end of summer when I brought it indoors from the patio.

I love those little blossoms, too, but I have never looked closely at it like you did here. I like the bits that are in focus and the bokeh of the main blossom....

Beautiful in it's simplicity.
