Texture
I was finally blessed with some much needed sunshine today.  I needed it anyway.  Ted, pictured below, was waiting for his daily treat of carrots. I find it very hard to go outside when it is dark and dreary, I need sunshine.
So what does this have to due with texture?  Have you ever felt the winter coat of a horse or mule?  Their coats are so thick and soft.  Best winter texture I know of.

What a beauty, love that he has a mouthful and still staring right at you.

Looks like Ted is enjoying some sunshine too (and his yummy treat) - what a fun and cute pic!

Wonderful portrait. I love the crop. I also love the way he is making eye-contact with the camera while casually eating his lunch.

Great portrait! That mouth full of munchies and the, "WADDAYA LOOKIN AT?" expression give it real personality.

Such a great horse portrait! Good thinking to catch him with the clump of grass in his mouth - adds a little something to the image.
