Lion and Tigers and Bears Oh My

I had one of the flying monkeys come to visit for Halloween. He was dressed to the T"s. Vest, hat and even a tail. I miss Halloween and the part I really miss the most is getting to see all the kids dressed up. Bridger was the only one that came for treats. Was a good thing that I didn't make spudnuts as Dennis and I would have to finish them off. Don't know if I could eat that many.

View of Idaho Range Land

I have been gone for awhile due to working on the ranch.  It's time to finally bring the cows home for the winter.  They have been on summer pasture since May.  Grass is gone and the snow is coming.  We have found all but 8 pair.  Got to get them all home or I wont be able to sleep at night.
When there isn't alot of time to waste you have to get out the faster horse power.  Thanks Honda.
Above is a view of the Ranch where we send the cows for the summer.

Rose Hip Bokeh

Fall has such interesting colors, perhaps that is why it is my favorite season.

Reds, oranges, gold, purples and yellows they could all be seen on the mountain side.  To bad that the light was fading, I could have gotten some really good shots of the mountain side.  I am going to have to go back before the snow falls and the colors are gone.

Hunting Season Opens

This week hunting season opens for big game and I wont be able to go again this year due to family injuries.  Last year it was me getting over cancer surgery and treatment.  Then is was my hubby with broken ribs and shoulder.  Gosh what a year was that.
Well  saddle up those horses, pack up the mules and head up the trail and spend 7 days.  It's cold, warm, rainy, snowy and just plain fun.  There isn't anything better than live out west where you can still find the wide open spaces.  Places where few men/women ever travel.
I really am going to miss this outing this year.  Perhaps I can make it next year if EVERYONE stays well.

BTW this photo is the trail boss / neighbor.  He is so great, I will really miss his dry humor and butter potatoes.

Signs of Fall Mosaic

The chill is in the area and the flowers have lost their luster appeal, well for some at least.  I find my fall flowers around the farm are just as beautiful as the summer flowers.  Sun shining off the seeds, so delicate and airy.  Put together my first photo mosaic of some of my favorite fall flowers.

Every Monday, Mary at Little Red House   host mosaic Monday.  Visit her site for more ideas on mosaic compositions. Have a happy fall week!
