I was digging around in some closets today trying to find all the table setting for tomorrows feast. There was box after box of things that I had totally forgotten about. Daughters graduations gown. Prom dresses. Babies attire. All sorts of stuff. Then back in the very back was a lone shabby box, looked like something that should have been thrown out. Good thing that I am such a pack-rat becuase what was in that box was history, lots and lots of history.
Lost and forgotten slides. I don't even think that you can even make these any more the way film has been over taken by digital. It's a good thing that I have an old slide projector.
Can you say "SLIDE SHOW?"
Forget about football on Thanksgiving, we're watching slides.

Oh, isn't it fun to find stuff you haven't seen in years, just like being in a toy store! Fun image! :)
Great re-find but If You don't know they are missing does that count as lost, loved those cassettes I could always get the important ones upside down - Never failed!
Isn't it wonderful to step back in time for a few minutes? I found a box of slides a few months ago when I was looking for a photograph of my daughter posed like HER daughter at about the same age. Then I tried to scan it. I'm not having any luck with scanning and can't bring myself to send out the lot and pay for someone else to scan them. Maybe that'll be my winter project.
