IT'S FRIDAY!!
You know what that means? I get to work on someone Else's photo boo-boos. Someone Else's exposure problems. I do this mainly to sharpen up my editing skill. Here is the original. I know that this photo has to have a special place in who ever took it heart. I don't know the story behind the scene, I don't know if this fellow is coming or going. All I know that there is a lot of feelings being portrayed.
I knew when I first saw the original, I needed to put the focus on the people. I needed to get rid of the distractions. So I cropped in close. Got rid of the little hand that was sticking out into right field. Next I adjusted the exposure, white balance and color cast. Then, something that I don't do a lot of, I ran an action. The action is one of the Pioneer Woman's freebies. It gave the photo a whole different feel, more of a 60's 70's type of Polaroid look. I didn't sharpen rather I just saved for the web as I knew that Flickr would add a bit of sharpening when it was uploaded. Enjoy.
Here is my Fix It Friday Play for the week.

Lovely crop! nicely done!
Beautiful!!
I think that is one of the closest crops I have seen and it REALLY works. You removed all the horrible gym background and placed the focus where it belongs. Thanks for taking the time to edit my shot!
oooh I love your edit, especially the crop. Great job!
LOVE the crop!!!
wait, am I missing something? Where did your great ISO tutorial go? :(
Aww I love it! Great Crop!
I think I would have been afraid to go this close. This is amazing! And it completely lost a snapshot feel for me and became a moment to remember!!
I love how you cropped this photo. It's very nice this way.
Great edit! Love how you made the photo stand out! I also love your blog header with the cute photos! The first photo with the kid in the orange shirt made me laugh! :)
