Nothing came to mind for a dapple photo, UNTIL I went out for my morning walk.
I noticed sitting high in my neighbors tree a hawk.  This one isn't the normal hawk I see everyday, the sparrow hawk and the red tail.  NO, this one is much bigger than those.  I believe it is a White-tailed Hawk, but I could be wrong.
This is my photo version of dapple.
 f/5.6 @ 1/1000 200ISO 300mm late morning sun
I have several other photos of this bird that I will be posting.  He/She was just so interesting to watch.

This one has the dignitry, but your second is all action. Ain't you so clever, my knees are green with envy.

One heck of a capture...love how he is looking down on you, probably thinking "dinner"! :)

Nice way to use the dapple theme. I think he's looking for dinner--small birds beware!

I agree that he seems to be watching you! Not sure I would to be any closer to him then with a 300mm lens. Nice job.
